Romeo and Juliet, the two lovers of the cross, who brought furious unrest to their families, finally peacefully saved the feud with their own deaths. Romeo and Juliet, lovers by destiny, change in important ways due to the gravity of love; with their families at war, they both decide to keep their love secretly for reasons of rivalry, but, however, their love for each other causes a tragic accident at the end of the book. The two “star-crossed” lovers change significantly over the course of the book, from young and slow to full common sense and maturity. Juliet, a bracing protagonist of Shakespeare's famous tragedy, is determined to be with the one she loves, regardless of the harm it would cause. At the beginning of the story Juliet is a young and obedient girl. In the period in which Romeo and Juliet is set, girls her age get married. Juliet is not worried about getting married nor does she think about it at all. Throughout the story, Lady Capulet brings up the topic of Paris wanting to marry Juliet. Juliet, not knowing what it would be like, obediently says that she will try to love him. As in the play (1.4.103-05), he says: “I will seem to like it, if I like to move. But no deeper will it strike my eye than your consent gives strength to make it fly. Juliet has not yet experienced true love, so she does not understand what love is. Juliet promises to consider Paris as her possible husband due to her mother's wishes. Juliet's attitude and personality change immediately after meeting the sweet and charming Romeo. During the period in which she meets Romeo, adulthood forcefully enters her life, although she is deeply in love with Romeo. Juliet identifies Romeo's flaws, where he likes to romanticize things and fall in love with girls with his words. At the party where Capulet...... middle of paper ......d, is heartbroken and decides to take his own life. Throughout the drama of Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is known as the obedient, young and immature girl to the determined, mature, adult. Juliet's change in personality and attitude can be linked to people external to the work. Juliet's love for Romeo is what makes her change. If she had never met Romeo, I believe she would still be alive and probably married to Paris. Shakespeare gave us an exclusive look at how love can change a person and bring them to the edge where they don't care about anything other than their love for that particular person. Juliet did whatever it took to be with Romeo, and due to the feud between their families and the chaos surrounding her, both “star-crossed” lovers died. The two young lovers did not die by fate or coincidence, but by their character and their imperfections.
