Cheating basically means acting dishonestly, stealing, copying, and using unfair means to gain an advantage. Cheating can take different forms, for example in relationships, studies, business, work, games, etc. The question arises spontaneously: WHY DO STUDENTS CHEAT?? The answer to this question can only be given by a cheater. The popular type is academic dishonesty performed by students. Academic dishonesty is of two types: cheating and plagiarism. “Cheating takes many forms, from simply copying another student's record to stealing an exam paper to faking an official college transcript” (Pincus&Schmelkin, 2003). Plagiarism means stealing the intellectual property of others.
