What would the world be like today if generations before us hadn't kept diaries of what life was like back then? Since that's basically how the world works, it would be very different today. People today would not know what the life of their ancestors was like. If we didn't have journalists in the world today, we wouldn't know the “scoop” on what's happening in the world. Whether it's on TV, in a magazine, in newspapers or even on social media sites, these writers and reporters, also called journalists, are on the move 24/7, just waiting for their next assignment to come along. It's not difficult to be a journalist. If people love to write and be creative, this work will be second nature to them. Journalists or writers often write for advertising, magazines, films, or any written media purpose ("Writers" par. 2). Undoubtedly, this content is developed for oneself or for the needs and interests of other people (“Writers” par. 2). Writers tend to write about topics that readers enjoy (“Writers” par. 9). They mix fiction and nonfiction and research facts about nonfiction events to write about (“Writers” par. 9). If they are unsure of the sound and concept, writers turn to editors or other writers for helpful feedback (“Writers” par. 9). Writers analyze and review the collected data and write stories/articles on the topic (“Reporter” par. 1). There are some skills you need to possess to become a writer: active listening, good speaking, good reading comprehension and critical thinking (“Reporter” par. 6). Most writers have an instinctive side of thinking and use it to write successfully ("How to" paragraph 2). Wherever a journalist has access to a computer, he or she is likely to work from there (“Writers” par. 3)...... middle of paper ......this does not mean that writing is a bad choice. People have different interests and choosing to become a writer is definitely one of those rare interests nowadays. Although this shows that the number of jobs is decreasing, there are still people who enjoy this activity as a sideline. Works Cited “How to Become a Journalist.” Degree in journalism. 2014.
