What is a school? “A school is a place where education is provided to individuals under college age or of college age (21+).” (School, 2014). Who are teachers, teachers are leaders of their own individual class who gain knowledge from an institution to teach. Who are students, students are individuals who attend a school to gain knowledge of the world around them by enhancing basic skills such as reading, mathematics, science and history. So, what is a school improvement plan? A school improvement plan is a plan for schools to ensure their students achieve, whether it be extra activities, additional minorities in higher-level courses, or even increased parental involvement to provide better overall instruction. During this lesson we had to read “Fundamentals of Education”. This shed light on the knowledge of how schools are run and some of the obstacles that arise during day-to-day operations. That said, some chapters of the book are represented in the Chapel Hill High School Student Improvement Plan. The chapters of the book are listed as follows.
