However, even though we live in a different country, it is still difficult for everyone to adapt because our ways are not the same as other people's country. It is very difficult for children to adapt to new environments while developing and as immigrant parents there is not much they can do to help because they have to learn the new ways on their own. There are some cases where you would rarely see a girl covering her face completely, while most Muslims are required to wear hijab due to their religion. So, children being stared at and teased at school is very difficult to deal with and could lead to other psychological problems. Is the behavior of Muslim children from immigrant families affected by living in non-diverse areas of the United States? Or they fit right in just like other immigrants in this country. This can be measured by conducting research based on Muslim immigrant parents and their children in schools, for example using surveys and questionnaires for Muslim girls aged 11 to 14 in middle school. Article 1 Delgado, M. Y., Killoren, S. E., & Updegraff, K. A. (2013). Economic hardship and adjustment of Mexican-origin adolescents: Examining adolescents' perceptions of hardship and parent-adolescent relationship quality. Journal of Family Psychology, 27(5), 827-837. doi:10.1037/a0033737A. According to this article, the research question posed to adolescents from families of Mexican origin and in economic difficulty is to find out why t...... half of the document ...... is a negative effect of American orientation on adolescents. They also examined indicators of adolescent adjustment, depression and academic performance by looking at test scores. These measures provided insight into the acculturation discrepancy hypothesis. The findings further supported that testing is needed specifically in the family as it serves as a mechanism for reporting for family acculturation discrepancy. This is important for my research question because all the findings, play an important role, contribute to the adolescent's relationship with the family in difficult times and stress that comes from the mother or father and one problem leads to another. Another issue potentially related to adolescent adjustment was that adolescents knew that the family was experiencing economic or educational adjustment distress..
