Over the years, culture, ethnicity and national identity through museums have been shaped as the world emerged through globalization and postcolonialism. Through globalization and postcolonialism, people around the world have become aware of different cultural and ethnic groups. This process of understanding different cultures can be understood through museums. A correct understanding of culture can be attributed through visual perspective, and this is what the museum offers to people who visit public and national museums. The essay will examine the difficulties and positive aspects found within museums regarding the accurate representation of the cultures on display. Furthermore, we will examine how globalization, post-colonialism, multiculturalism and transnationalism have played a role in modern museums and how difficulties through the "politics of representation" have linked to globalization, post-colonialism, multiculturalism and transnationalism. The term “politics of representation” refers to “the language used in a text or discourse to assign meaning to groups and their social practices, events, conditions and social and ecological objects (Wenden, 2005: 90) .
