ScopeJENLI Toy Manufacturing has the mission to develop, implement and establish a well-detailed and well-elaborated waste management plan that addresses how used oil and universal waste should be properly managed at different facilities within the company, these structures are the equipment room and research laboratory. The generation of universal waste such as batteries and fluorescent lamps is expected. In addition, JENLI toy manufacturing is not only on a mission to properly dispose of universal waste to further recycle, but also to collect used oil for proper recycling. Employees need to be guided on how to handle this waste and this is the company's goal, to provide a plan that is understandable to all employees. There is therefore a need for them to first understand what government bodies have defined as Universal Waste and Used Oils. According to the EPA, “Universal waste regulations streamline hazardous waste management standards for federally designated “universal wastes,” which include: batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment, and… half the paper…. the directed evaluation of the analysis must be developed describing the testing protocols at the facility All transportation records must be kept in a logbook Logs with detailed information on operational procedures and waste oil collection must be developed at the facility The EHS Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining all records b) Batteries All documentation is required regarding used batteries EHS Manager is responsible for maintaining all documentation (e.g. transportation, shipping documentation) All transportation records must be kept in a register. Records must be kept for a minimum of two years. c) Fluorescent lamps All documentation is required regarding fluorescent lamps. The EHS manager is responsible for maintaining all documentation (e.g. transportation, shipping documentation). Records must be retained for a minimum of two years.V. References
