Major examples of terrorism around the world include suicide bombings in Russia, Nigeria and Syria. It is obvious that there are several research articles addressing the issue of terrorism, but there are limited studies analyzing the influence of terrorism on tourism. The available literature on hospitality and tourism focuses briefly but vaguely on the influence of terrorism on tourism (Ahlfeldt, et al., 2015; Llorca‐Vivero, 2008). The specific focus of this research study revolves around the severity of terrorist acts that influence tourists' decisions to travel to tourist destinations. Furthermore, the study also focuses on the ways in which tourism organizations observe government policies and processes to manage such crises and problems. This study is further revealing the benefits to readers in the form of knowledge on ways through which the influences of terrorism can be minimized for tourism development
