Media concentration is directly associated with issues of self-determination of editorial columns, media biases and lack of restrictions on the press. In this sense, especially those who consider such consolidation as sociologically harmful, dangerous or problematic use the term “media consolidation”. Concentration of media ownership is very recurrently seen as a problem of the modern media and the public. When media ownership is concentrated in one of the above ways, unexpected consequences may result, such as commercially motivated, a situation where mass market media are primarily loyal to sponsors. In my opinion, I think it is imperative to delve deeper into the issue of media consolidation and its consequences on the miscellany of information reaching a particular market. Critics have raised the question of whether monopolistic or oligopolistic control of the media market can be fully responsible and reliable in serving society's interests. The application of digital technologies in the early 1990s is further modifying television with an additional element. Where once television was a distinct industry sector with its own set of regulatory principles, the technological potential of digital content creation and distribution is bringing it closer to other forms of communications content and the IT and telecommunications sectors. As a result of this convergence in communication, regulation and policy have become so complex that deregulation has led to the creation of transnational communications companies active at all different levels within broadcasting and similar sectors.
