ST. PIUS Aaron A. ParrMarch 6, 2014During World War II, Germany possessed many powerful technologies and advanced weapons. One of these new technologies was blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg was a new set of tactics used to easily defeat opposing armies who were attempting to fight in trench warfare. Germany was the first country to recognize how useful this new set of tactics could be. Germany quickly perfected blitzkrieg and trained its army in how to use them. Blitzkrieg was Germany's most powerful weapon because it allowed Germany to quickly defeat its opponents and immediately take command of the war. Germany's use of blitzkrieg was its greatest advantage in World War II and was what allowed Germany to nearly conquer Europe at the start of the war. Blitzkrieg was such a useful weapon for the German army because they had developed the idea and trained their men to perfection. Before the start of World War II, Germany had recently been involved in several wars. These wars made the German army one of the best trained armies in the world. This well-trained army is what would allow the Germans to perfect the blitzkrieg. Their training would have allowed the German army to have a high level of integration between the different parts of the army which would have made the blitzkrieg extremely effective. The Blitzkrieg was also extremely effective for the German army because Hitler understood that surprise is one of the greatest advantages in a battle. This knowledge could have been what led the Germans to use blitzkrieg to its fullest potential because they would have known that the surprise offered by blitzkrieg was the most important advantage they…middle of paper…because it created himself extremely difficult to stop due to his speed and the utter confusion that often accompanied him. Germany's use of blitzkrieg completely annihilated its enemies. For many years they did not understand it and were unable to defend themselves from it. The blitzkrieg tactic gave the Germans a huge advantage over the Allies and allowed Germany to come very close to conquering all of Europe in a short period of time. The Blitzkrieg allowed the Germans to surprise and bring chaos to the Allies. This gave Germany the ability to achieve victory against more powerful enemies. Germany's use of blitzkrieg also allowed it to make full use of its experience in warfare and unite all its forces. All of these advantages provided by Blitzkrieg made it the most powerful weapon Germany possessed and, for the first few years of World War II, made Germany nearly unstoppable..
