They have changed many things, from large needs like medicine and doctors' offices to smaller ones like bandages. No matter the winner, every war has good and bad consequences. Some wars have ended in triumph for the United States and its allies, but others have not ended well at all. A very important war with many consequences and an example of loss for the United States is the Vietnam War. This article will cover the Vietnam War both from the perspective of Americans at home and from what is happening in Vietnam between the years 1955 and 1975. The Vietnam War was a defensive battle fought primarily in South Vietnam. The contestants were the SVA (South Vietnamese Army) and the US Army against the NVA (North Vietnamese Army) and the VC (Viet Cong), a guerrilla group in South Vietnam.
