WL Gore & Associates - "100 Best Companies to Work For"Every year Fortune Magazine lists the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Who wouldn't want to work at one of these companies? However, for many, including myself, just having a job is a relief. The current economic crisis has had a serious effect on unemployment and many people are looking for work to make ends meet and will take what they can get at the moment. Those of us who are fortunate to have jobs feel fortunate to still have jobs in this economy. The many courses I have taken at CSUGlobal have given me insight into some of the best companies to work for and some of the "perks" these companies provide their employees, because they value their service. Working for the State of Colorado, the advantage I have is job security, but not much else. Organizational culture is made up of shared values ​​and traditions that exist within an organization. One thing that stood out about Gore was their philosophy/culture that they care about employees. It seems too good to be true. I wonder if it's just advertising they put on their website. However, achieving the position among Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For has to be earned, and in my study of the company, I found it impressive.
