My mother works at Marvel Comic Headquarters in New York City. Marvel Comics is owned by the Walt Disney Company and this inspired me to analyze the corporate giant. It's safe to say that every child has seen some sort of Disney production. Countless children have grown up with Disney characters as one of their first impressions of the world. And that makes Disney a very special and important company. Disney not only provides intangible services, but also offers an escape from reality in various locations around the world. In these places, cartoon characters become reality and children enter a magical world, so to speak. Disney also offers cruise ship vacations with activities geared towards Disney and all of its characters and stories. October 16, 1923 is considered the start date of The Walt Disney Company. On this day Walt Disney signed a formal contract allowing him to produce a series of Alice plays. The first entity was known as The Disney Brothers Studio. The comic cartoon was different from those of today because it was in black and white, very discontinuous and silent. This era not only marked the beginning of the Walt Disney Company but also the beginning of television. The founders and backbone of The Walt Disney Company are the Disney brothers, Roy and Walt. Walt's imagination is an invaluable resource. Walt died in 1966 but lives on today through his characters. Roy Disney, Walt's older brother, was also one of the founders of the Walt Disney Company. Since Walt was responsible for the content, Roy was the businessman. Walt and Roy grew up in the Chicago area. Walt attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and Roy joined the Army.
