The Indian Subcontinent Unlike America, India is full of wildlife, rich forests, towering mountains, diverse religions, hundreds of festivals, many languages and varied attires. Every part of this prodigious country is different, in one way or another. Each state had contradictory trappings, spoke different languages and had contrasting cultures. India has great architectural beauties, such as the Taj Mahal, a huge marble building built in 1600. Second most populated country with a huge number of 1,220,800,359 people, India will surpass China around 2027. As he once said Albert Einstein: “We owe much to the Indians, who taught us to count, without which no useful scientific discoveries could have been made”, the Indians were the first to invent and use numbers. Let's explore the wonders of India and its culture. The history of Indian culture is more than 5,000 years old. Hinduism includes a pantheon of deities. This often seems strange to people raised in Western countries, where monotheism is often a religious given, but in many ways it is not at all different from Western faiths and traditions (Asian Shades of Spirituality: Implications for Multicultural School Counseling). In India there are many different cultures in each state. Indian cultures based on religions such as Islam, Sikh, Christian, Parsi communities and Hinduism have a variety of different religious beliefs and festivals. Among all, there are three national holidays which are Independence Day, Republic Day and Mahatma Ghandi Jayanti. Indian culture refers to the fact that the Indian people are the life of India. The republic of India gained independence from British rule on 15 August 1947. Eve...... middle of paper ......lives an independent life, which not many people have the privilege of doing. No matter what culture you come from, what religion you practice, what language you speak, people never forget that they are part of one whole: Indian country.
