More people were killed, more nations were involved than in any previous war. This war referred to is World War II. There are many examples of what happened during the war, these can be seen in Golding's Lord of the Flies. The characters in Golding's Lord of the Flies mirror the political leaders during World War II, as well as the power struggle between them. During the war, there were two main powers. These powers were the Axis Power and the Allis Power; both of these powers can be seen in Lord of the Flies. Jack in Lord of the Flies, who is the main antagonist, can be seen prominently as the Axis Power, furthermore, as Adolf Hitler. During Hitler's time, his mind began to warp and his execration of the Jews began to increase. This can be visually perceived by Jack's mind gradually warping and him becoming more primitive; along with his dislike of Ralph and Piggy. As Jack's mind begins to warp and becomes a symbol of the Axis Power, Ralph begins to symbolize the Power of Allis. Even when it looked like Jack was going to kill Ralph, Ralph was still able to resist and perpetuate the fight. Just as during the war, the Allis Power prevailed over the Axis Power. The chaos in Lord of the Flies can undoubtedly be seen in the book, as well as in the film adaptation of the book. Madness in the book version of Lord of the Flies, towards the end of Lord of the Flies most of the boys were chasing a boy, Ralph. While two of the boys, Simon and Piggy, end up getting killed during the course of the story. The corruption didn't stop with the book, in the film adaptation of the book there was some madness that occurred while the cameras were on and off. When they first started filming, the kids who...... middle of paper... power. There were many examples of how characters bonded in their own ways with real people in one of the most astronomically immense wars ever known to man, and the people who let their desire for chaos and war take over ended up witness the arduous way that their orchestrations become a component leaving them with nothing but hatred. Some of them were even prosecuted as apostates. The country powered by Allis is booming, it's like when Ralph was preserved, everything the others worked hard and spent a lot of time on was all for nothing.
