Although I'm not yet sure what I want to do, I know I'm fascinated by business and entrepreneurship. The prospect of being able to start a company and run it successfully excites me. Of the 7 colleges/schools that Cornell has to offer, I think I would be most successful in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences because they offer a major that I am very interested in, Applied Economics and Management. I like AEM for its flexible degree requirements, which allow me to integrate my knowledge with the things I like to do. And with so many courses and extracurricular activities to choose from, going to Cornell represents an unparalleled opportunity to receive a world-class education. I have visited Cornell numerous times and the thing that has always struck me is their intellectual and cultural atmosphere. The sheer diversity of the student body and the free exchange of ideas from people of all backgrounds and with different values ​​and experiences make Cornell an intellectually stimulating place to go to college. While visiting Uris' library, my friend (a Cornelian) took me to Andrew Dickson White's room. This was one of the most beautiful rooms I had ever seen. It was really inspiring. Starting my studies at Westchester Community College was an overwhelming prospect. The fact that I wouldn't be able to have the “typical” college experiences that my peers would have bothered me. Unlike my friends, I wasn't excited to start my freshman year nor was I happy to still be living at home. So once I started my freshman year at WCC, it was obvious that I wasn't going to be optimistic about my ambitions when it came to my grades and attitude. I was completely disappointed by… half of the paper… rian Shockley, I found that the Boston University program would best prepare me for a position in the hospitality industry. Not only would I be able to study the hospitality industry, but I would also be able to experience it firsthand through internships and study abroad programs. I already have a few internships lined up for next semester and summer and could apply these work assignments to my eight hundred hours of field experience. Additionally, the study abroad program would be a great way to travel to another country, learn about its culture, and see how the hospitality industry works globally. Boston University would be my dream college because it would provide the rigorous educational atmosphere I am looking for. BU has an outstanding reputation that sets it apart from other universities, and I would be proud to be a Boston University student.
