As assigned, you need to design from scratch a new skills model for the Spray boat design engineering roles for Sunsailors company. The two new roles for the current Spray Boat job are Chief Design Engineers (CDE) and Junior Design Engineers (JDE). Two CDEs and ten JDEs must be hired within two months. Notably, similar design engineering roles previously existed in the Sunsailors company, which is the Wave boat. Although some aspects are similar to the current work on Wave boats, the Sunsailors considered the skills model obsolete, also for this reason and due to the changing nature of the work, therefore, to generate a new skills model, it should be an analysis strategy of work conducted efficiently. Singh (2008) described job analysis as the work of redefining work to include the work performed by, or the role of, a single individual, as well as teams interchangeably called job analysis and role analysis. The need to implement a strategic job analysis is imperative as most job analysts usually spend a long time preparing one (Schneider & Konz, 1989; Dierdorff & Wilson, 2003). Furthermore, strategic job analysis is needed to meaningfully address the emerging needs of the current organization so that it can be a valuable information tool that works in human resource management (Singh, 2008). In this case, an outdated skill model for design engineering roles needs to be revamped. Job analysis is necessary and comes with four acceptable job analyzes such that they (1) use several up-to-date sources, (2) are conducted by experts, (3) use a large number of existing practitioners, and (4 ) cover the full range of workers' activities and qualifications (Sparks, 198...... middle of paper ...... ement Journal, 26, 339- 348.Pearn, M., & Kandola, R.
