Those who oppose gay marriage insist that it would damage the very fabric of our society and that we as a nation should continue to practice traditional marriage. Marriage, in fact, would be very beneficial to society as we know it. People would become more open-minded and be able to see things from other people's points of view. There would be thousands of stable homes for children in foster care. An estimated 800 new jobs would be created, providing our nation with an economic boost. Society will adapt to same-sex marriage, and those who oppose it will realize their mistakes
