Traditional schools are becoming obsolete, even though you might consider them to have lower tuition or even more history. The money spent is to sit in a classroom that has a ratio of fifty: one student per teacher or in a classroom that is not technologically updated. Where schools spend more on teachers and resources than on providing for their students. It's no secret that for-profit colleges are there to make a profit and charge more for their tuition; however, being in a class of ten: student-teacher ratio or even slightly higher, allows for the flexibility to maintain their current quality of life while continuing their education. We need to look at the future of our education system. Even though for-profit schools have high tuition and are there to make money, the truth is that for-profit schools offer students a better learning experience and a quicker path to their future goals. Making the decision to further your education can be a difficult decision, especially when you have not attended school for many years. For-profit schools have become a convenient way to return to the classroom; however, you need to carefully consider the price per course compared to non-profit schools. Knowing that for-profit schools exist to make money and cost more, students are still willing to pay the high price. Some borrow excessively, and “students leave for-profit colleges with higher levels of debt than students at other types of institutions” (Deming, Goldin, and Katz 140). These institutions are clearly thriving in this day and age, are students getting what they paid for? While for-profit schools may be more expensive, “for-profit colleges do a better job of accommodating student schedules by offering courses at flexible rates.” times” (Deming, Goldin, and Katz 146). With more courses offered at different times and times, it offers more space for people striving to continue their education while juggling and maintaining their daily lives. There are several opportunities to take courses; it is possible to attend them in the evening, during the day or online, which allows greater convenience for students. Many students today have full-time jobs and/or families of their own, so this flexibility ensures they have the opportunity to return to school. For-profit schools have a small teacher to student ratio, as well as the ability to provide each student with the necessary resources and have the capacity to support larger classes if needed.
