According to Freire, the education system is a “banking concept” in which teachers are custodians and students are custodians. (Bartholomae, p. 244). At this point I agree with Freire about the education system because it gives me an idea of the education system I went through. Here I am talking about the education system in Nepal. I graduated from high school in Nepal. Informing the education system in Nepal, a student must spend two years in high school to obtain a bachelor's degree. The education system in Nepal is completely different; in the physical aspect, that is, of the infrastructures, compared to the American one. Classrooms here in the United States are well equipped with technologies. Students have the opportunity to learn from different sources rather than depending on the teacher as a whole. On the other hand, students in Nepal are totally dependent on teachers and textbooks. They write down whatever their teacher said without knowing a single fact that he or she is talking about.
