What I Already Knew / What I Want to Know Confessions of a Shopaholic is one of my favorite movies. One day I was watching the movie and wondering: is this a real thing? Can people really get addicted to shopping? So many questions were running through my head so I decided to look them up. Now the question was: where to start? Well, I really knew it was an addiction, but that's about it. I remembered that in the film the girl had gotten into a lot of debt. It almost ruined her life. I thought of a list of questions that I also wanted to know the answer to. Number one: could I ever become a shopaholic? The second is is this a real disease and, if so, what are the treatments? Number three was How do you know if you're a shopaholic? I knew there was a question that I also really wanted to know the answer to and was it a real disease and if so what are the treatments. Now I know the first question to look for. The story of my research It took me four to five weeks to do the research. I researched mostly online and only in a couple of books. And I discovered that the real name is compulsive shopping disorder. I learned a lot on the Wikipedia page on compulsive shopping disorder. This site talks about the characteristics and explains how compulsive buying disorder is like other disorders such as drinking, drugs and food. There is a treatment, since during therapy for about 10 weeks it is not possible to take CBD medications. This source is useful because it provides treatment, characteristics, and a good idea of CBD. A weakness of this source is that it had little information. The strength of the website is having good information and good details. Overall reliability I would say is good. My reaction to the source was good, I was satisfied with what I found. I have from...... half of the paper...... From a researcher I actually learned a lot about the research done in this project. I've learned that it takes a lot of time and patience to do this and find the right answers. It was difficult to find good reliable sources to help me find the answer to my question.
