After taking English 101, I think I am ready to move on to English 300, because I have learned the fundamentals of English from this course which will help me apply them in the next English class . When I started English 101, I thought about two things. The first thing was: will I be able to pass this course? And the second thing I thought was: what important content will I learn in this English course? To answer the first question, everything depends on this ending and any revision I will make. And to answer the second question, the important things I learned in English 101 are how to edit and improve essays, understand the use of grammar and punctuation, how grammar exercises helped me, and I learned how to use grammar tools . I started this English course, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. I've always had trouble writing essays. Rather, it was about reading something and then telling what the author's argument was versus simply writing a personal narrative essay. When I was working on the first essay, I wasn't sure how to analyze a text, but by the end of this lesson I can pick something to read and actually tell you what the author's point is. Before this course, I never knew that "writing is never done", I thought that once you submitted that paper and got a grade back you could move on to the next thing. But I've learned that there's always room for revisions. I can say that from every essay I have written, each of them still has room for changes. For example, essay one was probably one of the worst essays I wrote, but now that I've learned to revise things, I can go back and make it easier. Every assignment must be accompanied by excellent grammar. At the beginning of this lesson, I only knew a handful…half of the assignment…median, which is to describe how he wasn't sober before the tests” (p.1). When I met my teacher, I noticed that she always had great feedback and that I could have made a stronger paper with his comments. When I enter English Writing 300, I hope we have the opportunity to have peer editing groups. Learning all these skills will help me in my English Writing 300 course .Without this course I probably would have gotten lost and failed English Writing 300. Another factor that helped me learn all these skills was the professor, without a professor like Heather Donovan, I would have been a member of the course and would have lost, but since she had an amazing attitude towards teaching, even if she was sick or broke her foot, she continued to teach with great energy. These days you don't meet teachers who love their job and want to be there.
