In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, fate plays an important role in the development of the plot. It does this by bringing people together. Fate also plays a role in the deaths of a couple of people, including the main characters, Romeo and Juliet. The union of people through fate played a huge role in the unfolding of the plot of Romeo and Juliet. A great example of this is how Rosaline, Romeo's "true love", has vowed to remain chaste all her life. This makes Romeo more open to dating someone else. Benvolio then tells Romeo to go to a party the Capulets are throwing. It is there that Romeo meets Juliet. This is what makes almost all subsequent events happen. This definitely shows how fate moves the plot by bringing people together, because that did the rest of the entire book...
