I chose my persuasive essay to focus on why women should be in the military. I chose this topic to get a comprehensive view of how women are thought of in the military. I did some research and learned a lot more than I initially expected. According to the United States Constitution, all men are created equal, including women. I believe a woman in the military is as capable as any man. Some people will support this because they believe it is not right for women to be injured or killed in war. I understand that it would be difficult to see and hear about this, but remember that female police officers and firefighters are injured or killed every day.
