All athletes in all sports at a professional level must be required to undergo drug testing for performance-enhancing drugs before participating in any sporting event to ensure a level playing field for all athletes competing, no matter the sport. Furthermore, performance-enhancing drugs are illegal and must remain so to maintain fairness in the competitive world of sports. The bottom line is that athletes should not be able to take performance-enhancing drugs and still be able to perform in these sports. The injustice in the use of these drugs does not allow for fair play. Ultimately these cheating athletes are superior on the field and dominate other athletes who are not on steroids and how can you call it fair game when athletes are not equal in performance due to an enhancement drug. To delve deeper into the topic, performance enhancing drugs must remain illegal to protect the health and well-being of the athlete. If today's athletes are going to be so careless and take these drugs, we as a society must step in and take control of what these athletes put in their bodies. And if they continue to break the law by taking performance-enhancing drugs, then they must suffer the consequences, with the possibility of being banned from the sport for a long period of time or a lifetime ban, which would mean the possible loss of their wages . and their livelihood, sponsorships, and possible prison time. We need to take this with more than a pinch of salt and step up and do what's right for our athletes in all sports. It is undoubtedly one of the most debatable issues in sports today.
