Over the past few weeks I have had the chance to learn a few things about interpersonal communication. Initially, I was under the impression that I had communicated quite well, but unfortunately I was wrong. There is so much information presented during this lesson that it's a little difficult for me to grasp the concepts as solidly as I should; but I feel that over the course of my studies my confidence in my understanding and ability to put these concepts into practice will increase significantly. My first task to complete is understanding the concepts I have learned so far; choosing six concepts, explaining them to the best of my ability, and offering examples from my life. I have chosen to talk about High Context, Low Context, Individualistic, Collective, Vertical and Horizontal Cultures. I have had life experiences in all cases and I believe these are the easiest to demonstrate my understanding.
