Health in Hispanic communities is considered poor, this is not due to factors prevalent in other minorities but due to lack of access to health care and health care coverage . The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Minority Health Care explains, “It is significant to note that Hispanics have the highest rates of uninsurance of any racial or ethnic group in the United States.” With this problem, healthcare rates are reduced. Living conditions are also low within the Hispanic community, this is due to the lack of funds available to the community. It brings back not having enough income. Therefore accommodation is not adequate and is often overpopulated to save costs. This has negative implications as it relates to health and safety. Education for Hispanics can be difficult; often due to the language barrier and the inadequate amount of assistance available for those who need it to continue their education. The unemployment rate is not as low as that of other minorities, but as the DOL report explains “One factor that may explain why the outcomes of the Latino workforce lag behind those of their white counterparts is educational attainment.
