However, emotional intelligence picks up where cultural intelligence leaves off and this can be confusing for some. After taking these two types of tests, you will understand why. When I took the cultural intelligence tests, my scores were quite high and that was surprising of me. Globalization has resulted in the need not only for competent leaders but also for leaders with high levels of cultural intelligence (Little, 2012, para.1). When I delve deeper into it, I realize that I remain loyal to all types of groups. I am a great leader because I am not only accepting, but because I am open to ideas and want to learn to connect with others who come from different places around the world. When I took the emotional intelligence test I was a little surprised by the results. I leaned into the introverted side which caused my results to dip and that's okay. I just know I have some things to work on. I find it interesting that emotional intelligence manages behavior and social complexities. Emotional intelligence has attracted considerable interest in recent years and has become a standard concept in general and applied psychology, as well as in applied business contexts (Pan, 2010, para. 1). This survey is more common and coworkers are asked to participate in this type of survey so that employers can learn more about employees and their job performance. Two of the most important things we need to learn about emotional intelligence
