Sweden is a Scandinavian country, located in Northern Europe. Neighboring countries are Norway and Finland. The capital of Sweden is Stockholm. Sweden is the third largest country in the European Union with a total of 450,295 square kilometers (173,860 square miles). Its total population is approximately 9.6 million and has a low population density with approximately 21 inhabitants per square kilometer (54/sq mi). The population is mainly concentrated in the southern area of ​​the country with approximately 85% of the total population living in urban areas. Regarding ethnic origin, Sweden has a number of indigenous population composed of Swedes with Finnish and Sami minorities, foreign born or first generation immigrants, Finns, Yugoslavs, Danes, Norwegians, Greeks and Turks (CIA, 2014 ). Sweden is a developed country and the seventh richest country in the world based on GDP per capita which was $40,900 in 2013. The standard of living is very high where household consumption amounts to 48.6% of total GDP. Sweden focuses mainly on the service sector which contributes the largest percentage of GDP at around 66.8% in 2013, compared to agriculture at 2% and other industries at 31.3%.
