Topic > Film Analysis on Palestine - 812

I chose to talk about the atrocities resulting from the colonialism of Palestine. The reason I chose this is because of the large amount of terrorism that took place during this time. Until I saw the movie, I had no idea about all the murders that occurred throughout the Palestine area. When so many Jews fled to Palestine, the Arab community did not fare well. The Arabs were becoming over-populated by Jews and when the Arabs began to notice this they began to react against them. Which in my eyes I agree with. No group should be able to take over territory. When you ask people today about terrorism in Palestine, most people will know nothing about it; it was swept under the rug like just another day in the world. A land without people for those who have the land was one of the first slogans used by the Israeli state's propaganda. He claimed that Palestinian land was empty and that it was the promised land of the Israeli state. That wasn't the case, there were people who lived there and had been there for many, many years. Again, this is something I disagree with because it goes back to what I said before that you can't take what isn't yours. The lies coming from the Israeli state were unbelievable, they said this was their land and the Palestinians don't live there. The British government sent troops to Palestine to keep the Jews out, and the Jews know that they cannot defeat the British groups with military tactics. They must resort to a new type of attack, urban terrorism. Jewish terrorism was born. The Irgun Zvei Leumi was one of many Jewish terrorist groups that were clandestine and operating against British law during the British Mandate... half of the document... n was sent to protect the Jews who were in the wrong. The way the Israeli group covered it up is almost masterful, denying that the people ever had ownership of Palestinian land. They have systematically destroyed evidence of their existence and culture, to completely leave the Palestinians with nothing. The fact of the matter is that a group of people were forced to leave the land they had lived on for many generations. If this isn't terrorism, then I don't know what is. After watching this movie, we really realized how much terrorism exists in our world and how much we, as a world, know what happens. More should have been done in this regard to regain control of the Israeli group. Overall, I think this was a great documentary that everyone should watch if they are interested in the history of terrorism.
