Since I began following Christ at age 16, I feel I have grown significantly as a person. I have developed a God-given love for people and am committed to treating everyone with love and not simply favoring those of better socioeconomic status. Another strength God has helped me develop is a love for helping others. This school year I have made a strong effort to always put the academic needs of others before my own; Simply put, I try to help others with their work before doing my own. My experience volunteering at my church along with the leadership of Willard's Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) helped me feel comfortable meeting and working with different types of people. Conducting Bible studies and taking the public speaking course have helped me feel comfortable and organized when giving talks. Going back to the secular side, another strength is the strong study habits I developed through trial and error on my own and by observing my peers. I also became proficient with Microsoft Office by taking two computer courses during my senior year.
