Most people have a different perspective on what an educated person is and according to the Hudson Valley Sudbury School “education sometimes happens in school and sometimes it doesn't, and knowledge may be a sign of education, but it isn't either education itself. Simply put, education is the willingness and ability to learn for the sake of learning. The truly educated person is constantly learning without supervision or external reward” (Burdik, 2014). I completely agree with this code. I believe education is the willingness to learn not for the sake of rewards, but for the ability to expand our thoughts and ideas and also to solve problems and learn about the unknown. To successfully navigate your training path, you need to surround yourself with people who support you and an institution that is able to provide you with all the right tools you need.
