Cyber ​​crimes are not always perceived as bad for the criminal, as the party to blame is usually the company that was robbed, or the security system that has use. Furthermore, if an individual is identified and found to have carried out cyber crimes, it is rather the organization he works for that receives the blame (Hay, 2010). In contrast, the media will always present physical criminals as the individuals to blame, since their faces and characteristics are known. Although, in both cases, the punishment is similar, thus depriving the criminals of their liberty and incarcerating them for a certain period of time (determined by the jury) to serve their sentence.
