In our history there has always been racial profiling. The problem here is that at some point those who are oppressed and discriminated against will sooner or later ask why they are treated unequally. There are many examples around the world, but just take a look at how American society was designed to realize the vast difference between individuals. It was even normal and acceptable to see these differences during the creation of this nation because those who supposedly had the power and knowledge of conquest made sure to create a huge divide between leaders and subordinates. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, Racial Profiling refers to the discriminatory practice by law enforcement of targeting individuals suspected of crime based on race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, socioeconomic class , sexual orientation and so on. (American Civil Liberties Union) This means that the authorities responsible for ensuring security and justice have exercised this power to the point of discriminating against people, especially those who belong to disadvantaged groups. This type of social problem is more evident when violent incidents are trending topics. For example, during and after the 9/11 attack on New York, many Arabs, Muslims, and South Asians were subjected to reviews and detentions because the authorities had no idea how the mentioned attacks were perpetrated and who carried them out. had accomplished. This was not just an issue that concerned the authorities, society in general hardly condemned the entire Eastern community, even though many of those people stopped, detained and interrogated had no connection to this terrorist event. ...... middle of paper ...... and people to maintain an equal ideology, there are people who believe that stereotypes in minorities are generalized and that if some people engage in illicit activity, they probably others should do that too. This is a horrible mistake that should be eradicated not only in our nation, but in the entire world. Works Cited-American Civil Liberties Union.
