Genuineness and trust go hand in hand. If I talk about how one of my ideals is for everyone to support each other, I can't go behind someone's back and talk about what a terrible job they're doing. Even if that person never finds out what I said, the person I told it to now sees that I didn't stay true to that ideal and has probably lost faith in me as a leader. They may think I will do the same thing behind their back or they will tell others how I acted against my values. As the leader of a specific group, I need to make sure everyone's values ​​align with mine. While we will never have the same beliefs about everything, our core values ​​must be consistent. Deciding in advance what these values ​​are is fundamental to our success. If someone has a belief that is at odds with that of the rest of the group, they will be unhappy throughout the process or even test the group's strength by pulling everyone in the opposite direction from where we were headed. They will turn the group back, probably wasting a lot of precious time
