Children are naturally curious human beings. Children's preschool years are essential to their social-emotional and cognitive developmental skills. When children begin kindergarten, they should be exposed to a variety of activities. In developing my curriculum, I would like to mold young children to become high achievers. My resume name is LA Mona. I will base the LA Mona curriculum with High Scope, Project Approach and Montessori. Children in preschool or Head Start programs using this curriculum will develop skills on which their future education will be built. When planning my curriculum, I will select activities and topics that address your child's needs and desires. For my curriculum, I will focus on the specific goals that parents or guardians have for their children. The main purpose of early childhood education is for children to acquire socialization and become familiar with the educational structure. Barnett (2011) suggests that “early educational intervention can have substantial short- and long-term effects on cognition, social-emotional development, academic progress, antisocial behavior, and even crime” (p. 6). Children who enter preschool, daycare and Head Start will have benefits that increase their language, literacy and comprehension skills. LA Mona's curriculum will prepare children for formal education. Early childhood education helps children learn life skills, which is beneficial. These skills help children become more independent. LA Mona's curriculum will enhance children's ability to be creative, physical, language and literacy, socially and educationally ready for higher learning goals. The Nature of Young Children and How They Learn A well-planned curriculum is a big star… half the paper. .....nik, Meltzoff, Kuhl, 2011). These actions can increase children's ability to learn and interact with teachers and classmates. Additionally, teachers can improve children's understanding of social, cognitive, and physical issues with popular materials and toys. Physical development increases children's social skills with their peers, understanding of language and literacy, and promotes other skills such as math and social studies perception. Most parents believe that when children move they are simply playing. Early childhood educators suggest that as they play, children move their bodies and learn about the world around them. The benefits of physical development and play are achieved when teachers support children's ideals and develop their interest in play. Physical development gives children the freedom to express themselves through singing, dancing and body movements.
