Turner's Tintern Abbey and Wordsworth's poetry about it have reshaped and revived my understanding of Romantic poetry and art. My similar, but not as extreme, experience of vision degradation as with Monet has helped me connect to bring out experiences that I would consider romantic expression. He has touched the hearts of many in the short time his paintings have been available to the world and I am one of them. Seeing impressionism as more than just art for lazy people who can't draw deeper details is just one of the things it has helped me with. In addition to that, Debussy helped quantitatively increase my love for all of the above through his profound and inspiring music. I've never been particularly interested in poetry or history, but learning about Romanticism has been a greater pleasure than I imagined
