In Raphael's Three Graces, executed in 1501-1505 with oil on panel. Neoplatonic faith in this painting is shown by the personification of chastity, beauty and love. It makes the reference and connection between the divine and the earth through the human form by depicting the servants of a goddess. In Michelangelo's Pietà, executed in 1498-99 with chisel and marble. This statue depicts the body of Jesus in the lap of his mother Mary after the crucifixion (generally indicating piety). He is able to balance Renaissance ideals of classical beauty with naturalism. Michelangelo made an extraordinary representation of the human body and the celestial kingdom (idealism). Finally we have Botticelli who completed many Neoplatonic paintings. His two most famous paintings are Primavera and The Birth of Venus. The Spring painted in 1482 with oil and tempera on wood, does something similar to Raphael's Three Graces, that is, it depicts the three Graces in the same way and many other goddesses, such as Mercury, Flora accompanied by Zephyr, a putto, and Venus with his three graces (mythological figures). They are all set in a garden in the real world. His other famous work of art is the Birth of Venus, created in 1486.
