Mariano from the second lesson asked me if I wanted to take a look at the curriculum he uses to make up his lesson plans. The Teaching Committee's Reading and Writing Project is the curriculum used by Mrs. Mariano; The curriculum aligns with the Common Core State Standards. After reading the curriculum, I had the opportunity to brainstorm some ideas regarding the future lesson plan I plan to teach students. Not to mention, I also had the chance to realize that Ms. Mariano's curriculum, as well as the lesson plans, are easy to follow - this would allow a substitute (or me) to teach the lesson. Well-written curricula, as well as lesson plans, are critical, especially since an educator's primary goal is to provide a high-quality education to all of his or her students.
