With this work I hope to extend my knowledge and experience with students who have special needs. I love working with these students every day. I was told "it takes a special person to interact with these children." This type of person would appear to be very patient, friendly with children and adaptable to different situations. A person must understand these children and learn what is best for them, making this type of person a quick learner. I am grateful to have the opportunity to do what I have a great passion for. To understand autism, we must understand the communication difficulties, behaviors, symptoms, treatments, and what it's like to live with it.
