Well despite all that I didn't give up, I tried again the next year, which was my 11th grade year. This year we had a new coach who really knew nothing about high school softball, but would do anything to be able to have a softball team. I was the captain of the team, but I felt like I was the coach and a player at the same time. One day I went to batting lesson and tried to help my team improve their batting skills. I hit my first home run of the season and it didn't count because one of my teammates touched me before I crossed home plate. I was also asked to play Fall Ball, which gave me the opportunity to practice and help younger players improve their game.
