As the decades pass, man expands his horizons into the unknown realms of science and technology. Rapid progress has been made, aimed at making people's lives easy and comfortable. Even more innovation is needed to meet the challenges of the coming decades, and I would like to be at the forefront of that improvement. For this reason, research, accompanied by in-depth knowledge of the subject, would be of primary importance. For me, engineering is not simply about moving from concept to reality, but a way to overcome constraints and challenges. As I get older, I now have a much clearer sense of my life's purpose, which is not just to help one family, but to lift many others out of poverty and ignorance. I wish to obtain a PhD. from the National University of Singapore in the field of Energy and Biothermal Systems (EBTS). I would like to use the knowledge gained during my graduate studies to add lasting value to society, whether as a member of an industry research team or as a professor at an esteemed university. Mathematics and physical sciences exposed me to new concepts, and my quest to use them for practical applications inspired me to continue my studies in engineering. Good problem solving skills and sharp analytical skills helped me get a good placement in AIEEE. My passion for mechanical devices led me to enroll in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum. The pursuit of knowledge has always been the goal of my life. A strong propensity for learning has ensured my continued excellence in academia. I was topper of the school in class 10th and I am proud to say that I was among the 0.1% of students in BSE (Board of Secondary Education Orissa, India), to have secured 100% marks in Mathematics. I have completed my 12th...half of the task...I am using my skills to pursue my dreams at this renowned university and am looking forward to joining the student community at NUS in January 2015. Work in this area brings me will allow me to carry out targeted research while keeping myself updated on the latest technological developments. I am extremely eager to associate with such teams that strive to strengthen the engineering profession as a whole. I am aware of the commitment and perseverance needed to carry out the research. My university studies provided me with the necessary academic background. Motivation and attitude keep me moving and I am confident that these will enable me to meet the demands of graduate studies and the high standards of your University.
