Which is good, because I disagree with my family on ninety-five percent of their political and social ideas or programs. My entire family comes from a small rural town in the southern part of North Carolina and many of them know just this. Almost everyone is a conservative Republican, except me and my mother. My mother and I are both Democrats, while I am the more liberal one especially on social issues. Because of our different ideas about politics and our inability to communicate, I often try to stay away from my family when it comes to politics. I would say that sex is a taboo topic in our family, it is not talked about or referred to. Which I believe should never be a taboo topic, as the world is becoming very sexualized in almost every way. I think if those lines of communication had been established when I was younger, it wouldn't be so taboo
