This data will be important because it allows the researcher to compare relevant data with that collected in order to obtain more concise findings that engage the public's opinions on the use of police body cameras and their effects on communication. The study will also contain data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. This data is significant because it will allow the researcher to compare the number of drunk driving reports in Austin to other areas of the state and nation. A qualitative content analysis of archived local news articles will provide the researcher with a valid sample of drunk driving incidents. Interviews with police officials will provide insight into the Austin Police Department's current enforcement practices. Finally, the questionnaire and archived observations will provide the researcher with detailed information on the perceptions of nightclub goers who are more likely to drive while under stress.
