He put me under his wing and allowed me to use my skills that I had learned that summer from coaching, as well as my basketball skills, and put me to work . I helped with individual training and going to recruit players for the next season. I learned so much from him that he opened my eyes and made me realize that I wanted coaching/recruiting as a profession. The next year I came back and played that season. It wasn't long before another injury occurred. So I let go of my dream of playing professionally and cultivated a new love for coaching and recruiting. That said, I never forgot what my mother kept telling me. Even though I gave up on playing professional basketball, I simply moved on to another love. I am hungry and chasing the dream of becoming a collegiate coach/recruiter and if the opportunity presents itself to coach or recruit at the highest level (pro) I will accept that challenge. So here I am today “chasing dreams” to get this degree so I can continue my journey. Never sleep with your dreams. Go out and get them and never let anyone tell you you can't do it
