When asked which civil rights activist in the movement was most effective, the answer is quite obvious. This movement originated because of the so-called “Jim Crow” laws. These laws suggested that everyone was separate but equal. The opposite became glaringly evident when African Americans were subjugated by whites in various ways. For example, the justice system has always considered the white man's case over that of the black man. Furthermore, an African American facility was certainly not comparable to the superior quality of White's. Organizations soon began to form in an attempt to stop this unfair treatment. One man in particular stands out most in this movement of change: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s form of protest was activist Malcolm happened during the Civil Rights Movement. This is because Malcolm X's cause would only slow progress during the movement, Martin Luther King Jr. had more authority and understood that peaceful protest is the very genesis of redefining a nation. Malcolm X's lawsuit did not support any progress in the civil rights movement. If anything, his efforts have discouraged any progress by encouraging separation. Malcolm X admired the black Muslim leader Elijah Muhammad. Muhammad's campaign was based on the fact that whites "are descended from the devil" and "are born to harm blacks." Malcolm soon adopted and idolized this ideology which not only extended to separate nations but frightened whites. Considering this, the Black Panther group that Malcolm X later formed into created their own schools, businesses, and newspapers to further separate themselves from the whites. Additionally, Martin Luther King Jr. had a greater impact on his audience. Finally, it has contributed to the widespread idea that acting in a peaceful manor will make goals much more achievable.
