Personally, I am able to accomplish many things with the advice given by Covey. For example, I now know that every action I take is my choice. I don't have to do anything; and as I have mentioned many times throughout this reflection, it is an extremely liberating feeling. I've also learned how to deepen any relationship through time and patience. Throughout my career, I have learned how effective it is for a manager to respect their employees. One way to do this includes the type of delegation. On pages 181 and 182, Covey explains how gofer delegation (do this, do this, do that) does not produce loyal, trusting customers. They will not take initiative because they are always waiting for the manager to tell them what to do. On the other hand, management delegation focuses on results rather than methods. It takes longer at first, but it's worth it. It produces employees who are responsible for the decisions they make themselves. It makes them feel important. I know, as I experience more things in my career, I will want to practice management delegation. It gives the employee a feeling of need and desire, and this is what will motivate him to do it
