Homosexuality is a mental illness The history of gay or homosexual marriages is long throughout the world. Most Western societies tolerated this in the early days. Surprisingly, they went so far as to celebrate same-sex relationships and marriages. In ancient Rome there are records of same-sex marriages but the evidence for them is unclear. Same-sex marriages can also be traced to medieval Europe and even ancient Greece. There is also other evidence of gay marriage between Africans and Native Americans. There is much evidence to show that homosexual desire has been recorded since primordial times in the eastern part of the globe. This desire is the reason for gay unions, usually between men. It repeatedly included some age variations. There has been very rare information about relationships between women in the early times. This may have been due to the fact that women were not treated equally to men, so much so that while men were free to engage in sexual and romantic pleasure both outside and within marriage, women were not permitted (www.gay -art-history.org). In China, male love was quite encouraged especially in Fujian, the southern province. Men married young men in sophisticated ceremonies. These marriages would last a long time. In the latter part of this marriage, the older partner helped the younger partner find a wife so he could settle down and start a family. In the West, ancient Greece provides us with the first Western documents regarding gay relationships. In ancient Greece, gay relationships and marriages were a norm in society. Fortunately, these relationships did not replace marriage between a woman and a man, but occurred alongside or before it. During the Hellenic period in Europe... at the heart of paper morality. Since time immemorial, homosexual relationship has been considered immoral and will remain immoral forever. Allowing this to happen openly is sending a bad message to God, people and sanity will have been undermined. This goes against the teaching of God and according to the Holy Bible; they are the same reasons that caused Sodom and Gomorrah to burn. The same thing can still happen today. References: Eric M.
