The book The Maze Runner by James Dashner is an exquisite book that includes a lot of action along with complex secrets that even I as a reader do not know. My experience with this book is difficult to describe, as there were moments when I was thrilled by the action and held by the suspense, while there were other moments when I sat there and thought, as if I were in Thomas' shoes trying to solve the maze. These are some of my opinions and thoughts on this amazing novel. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? The reason I chose this book is because it is a dystopian narrative. I find dystopian literature the most interesting, as it gives an idea of how the world could transform if things don't work out. I also love many other dystopian books similar to The Maze Runner, such as The Hunger Games and The Giver books. The main character, Thomas, had many traits that supported him and so did the gladers. One of the reasons the gladers were able to escape the Glade was because Thomas was extremely careful. Thomas had paid close attention to where the mourners would enter and exit, allowing him to find the exit of the maze. Thomas is also quite intelligent. He got the idea that there must be a code in the map, which he had used as a passcode to get through the maze. Another important characteristic is that Thomas is courageous. It must have taken a lot of courage for Thomas to get out of the labyrinth, even though his life was greatly at risk. Thomas was willing to risk his life just for the tiny chance of saving Newt and Minho. Fortunately, all three managed to return alive, and Thomas' noble act paid off. While most of this book is easy to understand thanks to the descriptive writing, I still wonder why certain events happened. First of all, I don't understand why Tommaso and Teresa are telepathic. Why should they receive telepathy if they can simply talk face to face? And why would the people from WICKED try to kill Thomas. Why not everyone else? Also, why was Gally working for WICKED? Is Gally really a good guy like he said or a bad guy? And finally, what is WICKED and what are their intentions? I believe these questions will be answered as the series continues, as these events may foreshadow what will happen in future books. Please note: this is just an example. At the beginning of the book I didn't like it because the hook wasn't interesting enough and I was really confused about what was going on. However, my interest suddenly peaked when Thomas was trapped outside the maze. This added so much danger that it left me on the edge of my seat. All the events after this scene added to more and more conflict, and my brain was about to explode with excitement when I reached the climax. If I had to rate this book, I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5. Reading this book was a truly exciting experience and I plan to read all the sequels. If I don't, I might not be able to sit still, think about what will happen to Thomas and the gladers..
