Pupils are free to use laptops in class and the teacher dedicated to assistive technologies advises pupils and staff on speech recognition software and other technologies that the school makes available to everyone, making written work easier. Conditions of education Boarding Around half of Bredon's pupils board, boarding is a home-based experience. House parents look after pupils in a number of dedicated boarding houses. There is no weekend school, so pupils are free to take part in fun excursions and trips, go shopping or go to the cinema with friends, or stay at school and take part in outdoor sports and education activities. Accommodation is split between the historic Pull Court and purpose-built homes. Younger pupils share dormitories while older pupils have access to individual study rooms complete with desks. Social events are varied and boys and girls mix well. Facilities Bredon's facilities include an 84-acre outdoor classroom, which includes a school farm, allotments, forestry school, climbing tower, clay pigeon shooting range, swimming pool, sports hall, gym and numerous sports fields.
